The art world’s glitteratti was out in full force to attend the Art Seen benefit on Monday night in support of the New York Foundation for the Arts, and what a success it was. Uber-publicist Bettina Prentice stood at the door welcoming her guests in out of the rain with her trademark sunny smile, making it instantly feel a little more like spring inside (the balmy temperature in the gallery didn’t exactly hurt matters either).
Among the guests mingling amidst the vibrant works of art up for auction were NYFA Executive Director Michael Royce, artist Andres Serrano, Alex McCord & Simon Van Kempen of the Real Housewives of New York, Hayley Bloomingdale, Kristian Laliberte, Todd & Megan DiCurcio, Emma Snowdon Jones, Anastasia Rogers, Serena Merriman, Sabine Heller and Sarah Basile. Also attending were designer Chadwick Bell and Art Production Fund’s Casey Fremont, gallerists Courtney Treut (David Zwirner), Anna Gavazzi (Luhring Augustine), Molly Klais (Yvon Lambert), Megan Spencer (Gagosian), Scott Nussbaum (Sotheby’s), Alexander Gilkes, a director of Phillips De Pury as well as Nazy Nazhand and Walter Robinson of Artnet.
In spite of the gloomy weather outdoors, the event was a smashing success, having been the most well-attended event in NYFA’s history.
