Given his career as a professional football player, it’s understandable why Bachelor and NFL fans want to know The Bachelorette 2021 spoilers about Andrew Spencer to see how well he shoots his shot with Bachelorette Katie.
Andrew S. is one of 30-plus contestants on season 17 of The Bachelorette with Katie Thurston. Katie a 30-year-old bank marketing manager from Renton, Washington, was announced as the season 17 Bachelorette at the “After the Final Rose” special for season 25 of The Bachelor with Matt James in March. Katie was a contestant on Matt’s season and was eliminated in 10th place, which makes her one of the earliest Bachelor or Bachelorette eliminees to become the lead of her own season. (Michelle Young, a 27-year-old teacher from Edina, Minnesota, was also announced as the season 18 Bachelorette. Her season will premiere later this year.)
Katie filmed season 16 of The Bachelorette from the beginning of March to the end of April at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa in New Mexico. Instead of Chris Harrison, her season was hosted by season 16 Bachelorette Tayshia Adams and season 11 Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe.
In her Bachelor bio for Matt’s season, Katie said that she wants a man who is as “daring and adventurous” as she is. “Katie knows exactly what she wants in a man and is done wasting her time on boys who won’t live up to her expectations,” her bio read. “She is a witty storyteller who says when she finds someone worth committing to, she is the most loving and committed partner anyone could ask for. Katie is daring and adventurous.”
Her bio continued, “While Katie is serious about finding her person, she needs a man who can laugh along with her but is okay with him laughing at her too when the moment calls for it. Katie is looking for a mature man who has ambitions to succeed in everything he does, both personally and professionally. Her dream man will be passionate about building a long-term life with her and will treat Katie as his equal in the relationship. Nothing turns her off more than someone who sits around playing video games all day or a man who tries to kiss her at the inopportune moment … it’s all about creating the right vibe with Katie!”
Could Andrew S. be Katie’s person? Well, from the looks of it, he has everything she wants. Ahead are The Bachelorette 2021 spoilers about Andrew S. we know so far and whether he makes it to the end of Katie’s season. (With a smile like that, who could resist him?)

Andrew S. can’t wait to get married and hopes to have five kids one day. The one thing he cannot handle in a relationship is poor communication. Does Andrew S. win The Bachelorette?
So…does Andrew S. win The Bachelorette? No, he doesn’t. The winner is Blake Moynes, a 30-year-old wildlife manager from Ontario, Canada, who became a surprise contestant on Katie’s season in episode 4. As Bachelor Nation members know, Blake was also a contestant on season 16 of The Bachelorette with Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams, where he was eliminated in ninth place. According to Reality Steve, Blake proposed to Katie at the Final Rose Ceremony, and they’re engaged and still together.
Though he doesn’t win, Andrew does make it far. Reality Steve reports that he’s one of Katie’s five finalists. The other four are: Michael Allio, a 36-year-old business owner from Akroh, Ohio; Justin Glaze, a 26-year-old investment sales consultant from Baltimore, Maryland; Greg Grippo, a 27-year-old marketing sales representative from Edison, New Jersey; and Blake.
Andrew S. was eliminated in the episode before Hometown Dates. After Katie sent him home at the Rose Ceremony, Andrew S. and Katie reunited at her hotel room the next day, where they had a conversation about their relationship. Andrew S. left Katie’s room with a note that read, “If you change your mind… I’ll be waiting.” After reading the note, Katie ran after Andrew S. and asked him to come back to the competition. In the end, though, Andrew S. declined her invitation to stay as he didn’t think that Katie would choose him over the other men in the end.
“The way we kind of left, it was just kind of a bunch of questions in the air. There was a lot of love there,” Andrew S. told Entertainment Tonight after the episode. “I’ve seen the show and it’s kind of tough [to watch]. At this day, at this time, I just think we need to talk. If anything, I would love to just sit down and talk with her one day, just kind of hang out and just see where her head’s at.”
He explained that his note was for Katie to quit the show to be with him, and not a request for him to rejoin the competition. “Obviously the first breakup was tough and then going back in and doing that thing, that was also really tough. I just let her know like, ‘Hey, I don’t wanna do this Bachelor process anymore. So if you want to possibly continue this outside of that, I would definitely be open to it,'” he said. “That’s what I meant when I wrote that on the card.”
Andrew S. also revealed that he still debates whether he “made the right decision” to leave after Katie asked him to come back. “For a good couple weeks, I debated whether I made the right decision or not. But ultimately, it came down to [the fact that] she already told me she had stronger connections with the other guys,” he said. “For me to jump back in knowing I’m already behind, it was just something I didn’t want to put my heart through again.”
