If you’ve been keeping an eye on the fashion design scene in recent years, you’ll realize that the United Kingdom has been producing a feast of talented designers.

With a penchant for strong, impassioned aesthetics, the London set is rapidly evolving into the forefront of the newest generation of talented designers. From storied British brand Mulberry to newcomers Mary Katrantzou and Charlotte Olympia, these names are setting a high standard for creativity and craftsmanship in a fast fashion-obsessed climate.

To kick off our celebration of the forthcoming London 2012 Olympics (not to mention celebrating the endless talent of the UK populace),  here’s a glimpse at some of our favorite designers from across the pond.  Educate yourselves, and let us know which designer is your favorite!
