The YSL spring 2009 show was filled with designer Stefano Pilati’s usual line-up of sharp, Parisian chic clothes. The YSL collections can always be depended upon to provide the more sophisticated fashion girls with enough wardrobe ammo to sustain them for seasons. What really sent me over the edge this time around, though, were the shoes. Footwear in the form of latticework grids with metal mesh heels in black and silver stomped down the runway, inspiring instant love and devotion. They’re like nothing I’ve seen for spring before. They’re fresh and different, a little naughty, totally sexy.
Ladies and gents, a new It Shoe is born.
