It wouldn't be the Grammys if Jennifer Lopez didn't show a little skin—and she did, in this black Anthony Vaccarello dress.

Beyoncé looked super-chic in an on-trend black and white Osman jumpsuit and bright red lips.

Rihanna—who seemed to have ditched her signature "I'm edgy" persona for the night—looked radiant in red custom Alaïa.

Despite looking a little too thin for comfort, Faith Hill rocked this chic and sophisticated J. Mendel dress.

It was nice to see Adele take a break from her signature black dresses in this floral Valentino (and matching shoes!).

Karlie Kloss showed off her supermodel physique in Michael Kors.

Taylor Swift wore a predictable white gown by J. Mendel that was neither here nor there.

Alexa Chung looked absolutely adorable in floral Valentino.

We know she'll provide the hackneyed "it was husband's night, not mine" sound bite, but Nicole Kidman really could have done better than this drab, underwhelming Vera Wang.

Kelly Rowland killed it in in an ultra-sleek Georges Chakra.

Allison Williams looked gorgeous in KaufmanFranco. Fun fact: She was Katy Perry's date!

Despite going a tad overboard in the cleavage department, we think this green Gucci suited Katy Perry well.

Alicia Keys looked sexy in a black Alaia dress.

Solange Knowles kept true to her penchant for bold colors in a skintight emerald green Ralph & Russo dress and pink pumps.

Chrissy Teigen looked chic in a black Joy Cioci ensemble.

Kathy Griffin looked appropriate in a black Oscar de la Renta dress.

Kelly Osbourne disappointed in a Paule Ka dress with strategic cutouts.

"Call Me Maybe" songstress Carly Rae Jepsen rocked a strapless beaded Roberto Cavalli number that was a little too busy.

Ashanti showed off a thigh-high slit in this unimpressive floral embellished black dress.

Kat Dennings wore a slightly underwhelming Vivienne Westwood dress, but with her figure, it's impossible to look bad.

Giuliana Rancic opted to a boring beige Carlos Miele dress, but her simple hair was a pleasant surprise.

Carrie Underwood was on trend for the night in black Roberto Cavalli.

Amber Rose (accompanied by her beau Wiz Khalifa) looked like she was about to pop on the red carpet and she opted to embrace her baby bump in a black Donna Karan frock.

Miranda Lambert was yet another star to wear black Roberto Cavalli.

Singer Estelle donned a patterned crop top ensemble that she designed herself. While we admired the originality, it seemed slightly out of place on the red carpet.

Florence Welch wore a custom green Givenchy dress, which was perfectly suited to her sense of style.

Kat Von D wore a look from Derek Lam that Kristen Stewart wore on the "Snow White and the Huntsman" red carpet.

Let’s all take a break from New York Fashion Week to celebrate music’s biggest night: the Grammy Awards. While we love the exciting live performances, there’s nothing quite like the Grammys red carpet, as the stars tend to take more fashion risks  than at any other ceremony during awards season.

Although a wardrobe advisory was issued, that didn’t stop celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Kelly Rowland from showing a lot of skin. Basic black and white looks seemed to be one of the night’s biggest trends, but Adele, Rihanna, and Katy Perry provided colorful relief.
