As much as we adore cozy sweaters of all types, there’s nothing quite like the luxurious touch cashmere provides. The fiber–which is technically a type of wool—is super-soft and extra-warm, but also typically a bit more expensive than your average winter sweater. That’s because it’s considered pretty rare (it can take one goat four years to grow enough hair for one sweater!) and because it’s labor intensive to create garments made with the high-quality material.

That said, we’re big believers in owning at least one good cashmere sweater that—if you take care of properly—can keep you cozy for seasons to come.

Here, we’ve hunted down 15 of our favorites to buy right now, from colorful solids to perfectly patterned versions!
