Here, our top picks for what to do this weekend including a apple picking, whiskey tasting and a thermal bath. What’s on your weekend agenda? Share with us in the comments.
PAMPER: Nothing sounds more appealing after a long week at work than a thermal bath spa treatment. Aire Ancient Baths in New York City houses its thermal baths in a atmospheric subterranean cavern lit by candles—basically heaven if you ask us. For more information visit ancientbathsny.com.
SHOP: Now is the weekend to get a head start on boot shopping. Our favorite pair at the moment are these Gucci lace-up leather riding boots. Very equestrian and perfect for channeling Charlotte Casiraghi. $1,150, available at net-a-porter.com.
EAT: There are few times during the year that eating a proper farm to table meal is more appealing than right now. Our favorite spot at the moment is Vignola Cinque Terre in Portland, Maine which works closely with local farmers, fishmongers and cheese makers to create meals made with only the freshest ingredients. Visit vignolamaine.com for more information.
WATCH: This weekend is the Hamptons International Film Festival with movie premieres including Silver Linings Playbook starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence and the debut of a Marilyn Monroe documentary. Even if you aren't in the Hamptons to catch these debuts, keep note to watch these flicks when they hit theaters.
DRINK: Whiskey Magazine has just released its list of the top whiskies of 2012. The top of the list is Yamazaki 25 Years Old, which won the award for World's Best Single Malt Whiskey. It doesn't come cheap, bottles run $920, but why not opt for a shot of it this weekend?
PLAY: Now is the season for apple picking, and plenty of local farms open up their fields for visitors to pick their own apples this time of year. One of our favorite spots is Bishop's Orchards, a 140-year-old family farm in Guilford, Connecticut. For more information visit bishopsorchards.com.
