Fashion Week Diary: Day 3 With StyleCaster’s Beauty Editor

6:30 AM: Woke up to find an email booking me for an interview with Gucci Westman at Rag & Bone at 9 AM. With some quick coordinating via email, I find someone to cover BCBG for me and get out of bed. [...]
6:30 AM: Woke up to find an email booking me for an interview with Gucci Westman at Rag & Bone at 9 AM. With some quick coordinating via email, I find someone to cover BCBG for me and get out of bed.

This is my gear for the day: recorder and camera constantly on arm, and BlackBerry attached to my hand.
6:32 AM: After stumbling to the bathroom, I realized my blowout held up amazingly well. Thank god for Marie Robinson. And yes, it's day 3 of fashion week and I'm already skipping showers. Deal with it [...]

7:10 AM: The laces on my shoes broke, but I'm still wearing them – classy. It's not my fault I was in a rush. 
9 AM: Made it to Rag & Bone, after chatting up some construction workers on the street (they wanted to know where all the pretty people were going!)
9:16 AM: Talked to Revlon's Global Artistic Director Gucci Westman about the inspiration for the show and what she was doing on the girls for the day – she also added that she wanted a "sexy cool" [...]

9:20 AM: Guido Palau demonstrated his look for the day, a "sweaty mush" as he liked to call it, showing me how he just smushed the hair together on the back of the head and pinned it in place.

9:45 AM: Back at the office and uploading my Rag & Bone story before heading to Jason Wu. Decided to eat chocolate for breakfast because I don't have time to give up one hand to hold my apple. And, [...]

11:30 AM: Meet up with our photographer Joey at Jason Wu in SoHo to find amazing bold colors on the eyes by Diane Kendal for Shiseido.

3:05 PM: Tom Pecheux, lead artist for M.A.C shows us the color palettes he's working with for Doo.Ri.
3:15 PM: Just hanging out backstage with the designer, you know.
3:20 PM: The pastel shadow and effortless low pony look is complete for Doo.Ri – why don't I look like that when I do "effortless" makeup?
4:10 PM: Ran into Janice Chou, StyleCaster's Style & Market Editor at the Doo.Ri show – she doesn't always look this unhappy, she just came running in with about five bags.
4:20 PM: The show was filled with pastels, nudes, layers and drapings – but the short shorts were a favorite of mine and this tailored blazer. Gotta love a good blazer!

7:40 PM: Run out of the office late for Fashion's Night Out. First event on the agenda: Rag & Bone with Gucci Westman (twice in one day!) and Halle Berry, yes please! SoHo is a madhouse, and I hate crowds.

8:45 PM: Gucci finally arrives with Halle in tow – no one can get through the streets right now and Gucci had to literally get out of her cab and walk the last few blocks to the store due to traffic.
9:30 PM: Halle looks absolutely amazing in a barely there shirt. She poses for pics with the crowd and heads out to catch a flight.
9:33 PM: Amber (my all-star intern) and I pose with David Neville of Rag & Bone. Don't mind my weird face, I was struck by his loud British accent – those Brits get me every time.

9:45 PM: Walk out of Rag & Bone and straight into StyleCaster's CEO Ari Goldberg. Get conned into (okay, not really) dinner and birthday drinks.
10:30 PM: NACHOS. First real food of the day (didn't I say I wanted dinner five hours ago?) at South's in Tribeca. I'm in heaven, and of course go for chicken tenders to top it off. My fashion week diet [...]

11:37 PM: Deciding whether to be good and go home, or take shots (can't you see the uncertainty in my face?). After fighting a lot of boss peer pressure, I went home.
1 AM: Soaked my feet in a nice little tub of hot water while finishing my diary. They appreciated it.

Follow as I get through the third day of fashion week somehow making it to all of my backstage interviews on time and not falling down in my heels one of those special skills you can only learn over time.
