Sheer looks have been a strong trend on the runways for the past few seasons—from subtle lace panels to completely transparent skirts that show off cute boy shorts or short-shorts. This season, designers have been opting for an edgy, graphic take on the trend, showcasing peek-a-boo elements that range from traditional (sheer lace) to textured (a knitted web at Jason Wu) to graphic (rope lace at Rodebjer).

A black palette keeps the look edgy and editorial—even the traditional black lace elements aren’t exactly what you’d call “romantic.”
