Since the launch of her eponymous skincare line in 2010, Tata Harper has become something of a poster girl for beauty that’s both natural and luxurious. An advocate of what she calls harm-free skincare, Harper – who was born in Columbia and has a degree in engineering – manages to fuse science with naturally-sourced ingredients to formulate high-end products that actually do their jobs while remaining totally toxin-free.
What’s more, each product in Harper’s luxe line is packed with active ingredients, several of which are sourced from her 1,200-acre Vermont farm — the homebase for the business’ research, development, sales and packaging.
Since beauty and style go hand-in-hand, it’s no big surprise that Harper’s a serious fashion lover, and the industry clearly returns the sentiment. In addition to appearing in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Vanity Fair, Harper counts a growing number of chic A-listers as fans (Gwyneth Paltrow, Lake Bell, Christy Turlington and Julianne Moore among them).
Here, the skincare guru fills us in on what she’s coveting for fall.
