Who doesn’t love summer? It’s hands-down the best time of yearthree full months of sunshine, sandy beaches and hopefully a bit of spontaneity. Just because there’s no such thing as a “summer vacation” in the real world, that doesn’t mean we don’t have a long list of fun, adventurous things we’re dying to do over the next couple of months. Click through to check out StyleCaster’s Summer Lust List, and hopefully you’ll join us in checking all of them off before the season ends.

Take some surfing lessons:
If you're privileged enough to live in or near a beach town, one of the most fun (and affordable!) summer activities out there is a surf lesson. Spending a couple of hours each day in the ocean with some friends—and if you're lucky, a smokin' hot instructor—provides you with the chance to learn a new skill while soaking up the sun. Not to mention, catching your first wave gives you an adrenaline rush like nothing else, and paddling out from shore is a killer arm workout.

Electrify your wardrobe with some neon:
If you haven't purchased your statement piece for summer yet, make sure you invest in one of the season's biggest trends—neon. Seen on the runways at Christopher Kane, Proenza Schouler and Miu Miu for Spring 2011, injecting some acid brights into a wardrobe of basics is the perfect way to update your look for summer.

Hit the road: It happens every year—the novelty of your summer vacation wears off and the unshakable boredom sets in. If you have a car, some extra cash for gas and a few days off, grab a friend or two and hit the road! Road-tripping in the summer can't be beat, even if it's just a couple of hundred miles to a theme park or national monument you've never seen. Roll down the windows, crank up the stereo and make some memories.

Get in fighting shape: Let's be honest here—summertime means walking around in various states of undress for three full months. Whether it's short-shorts, tank tops or bikinis, showing some skin is always easier when you feel really great about how you look! Splurging on classes like Bikram yoga, Core Fusion, spinning or boot camp a couple of times a week will help you get in tip-top shape this summer.

Splurge on a spa day:
As much fun as sunbathing, swimming and staying out late are, they take a serious toll on your hair and skin. Take a time out from the damage and spend a day indoors at a spa—deep condition your hair, get a facial or an exfoliating treatment, and just lay back and relax. Isn't that what summer is all about?

Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping™ Waterproof Mascara: OK, so we've discussed plenty of fun summer activities, but you want to look pretty while you do them, right? Enter Revlon mascara. The new Grow Luscious Plumping™ formula makes your lashes look impossibly long and the waterproof version won't budge—even after a day of jumping in and out of the pool. Summer can be rough on your hair, but Revlon's conditioning formula helps strengthen your lashes and promotes growth. Even if your makeup philosophy is bare-faced in the summer, this mascara is definitely an essential!
