Stella McCartney, Back to Basics

No one makes a blazer and a slipdress quite like Stella McCartney and this season she returned to her two mainstays. McCartney seemed to be going back to basics in a sense, as long as basics are anything but. The blazers fell long and boxy with deep openings in the front. Her slipdresses were at their best when short and flirty with a gathered neckline and featuring deconstructed lace panels. Ali Stephens looked phenomenal in a black silk and lace gown with skirt panels like romantic gothic sunrays. Paired with vegan leather legging boots, the looks were decidedly modern. Any time Stella wants to take it back to basics again, we say go right ahead.
