Spring Trend: Fringe

Several designers employed a bit of fringe on everything from chunky sweaters to dresses for spring, but the beauty of this trend lies in its softness—closer to the delicate ends of a velvet scarf rather than western-style fringe.

Interestingly, fringe wasn’t only used a trim on spring runways, but also as serious focal pieces. 3.1 Phillip Lim used fringed patches to adorn a sure-to-be coveted statement sweatshirt, while Tibi showed silky strings on modern staples like boxy dresses and cotton tops.

Even Herve Leger placed soft fringed panels on sexy body-conscious dresses, and The Row wowed with a stunning tassel-hemmed net skirt.
