When most of us hear the word pleats, we tend to run in the opposite direction in hopes that we don’t have to relive our grade school uniform nightmares. Well, I’m here today to tell you that this retro trend is back for round two. I was a little apprehensive to try it, but after seeing pleats walk down almost every runway, I noticed that the look was light and airy versus the heavily starched look of the trends first go-round. If the super feminine vibe isn’t your thing, no need to worry — pleats look amazing in leather (a personal favorite).
Let me tell you ladies, there’s something for everyone; whether they’re box, accordion, big or small. The pleated skirt is a must have this spring. Today’s pleats have a fresh and modern face, giving feminine a whole new meaning. This season we challenge you to jazz your look up with PLEATS!
