Shoe Porn: The Wildest Shoes on the Spring 2013 Runways

Rachel Zoe makes a phenomenal ankle boot with mixed materials in white.  
Ohne Titel creates a mesh effect with white leather paired with a cylindrical heel.  
A wooden wedge with ankle strap hit the Belstaff runway.  
Zero Maria Cornejo had a wrapped heel at their Spring/Summer 2013 collection.  
At Oscar De La Renta these gorgeous cut out heels hit the runway.  
We absolutely loved these fringe, white heels at the Diesel Black Gold show.

Vera Wang wrapped her heels with rope and had them tie up the ankle.  
Narciso Rodriguez had slip on black banded wedges at his Spring/Summer 2013 show.  
A bondage shoe with a funky heel made a huge statement at Proenza Schouler.  
Thakoon had classy silver sandals with an added sparkle.  
A gold encrusted shoe shined brilliantly at The Blonds Spring/Summer 2013 show.  
Pointed toes continue to pop up through fashion week. Sophi Theallet showed these teal points with blue and translucent accents.  
Karen Walker offers a clean white, pointed shoe at her Spring/Summer 2013 show.  
Theyskens Theory's lace up ankle boots had a matrix-like vibe.

Rag and Bone impresses with the white,black and electric blue color combo. 
Kate Spade gives us her spin on the black and white oxford, adding a heel and slingback. 
The simplicity of this pointed toe flat matched with the vibrant blue color creates magic at Kate Spade. 

The models of Billy Reid strutted down the runway in wooden heels with white straps.

Another stunning shoe by Creatures of the Wind. This patent oxford was also shown in pink and white. 
Monika Chiang wows us again with a chainmail-esque, open toed bootie. 
Chadwick Bell chooses a white structured heel for his Spring/Summer 2013 show. 
BCBG Max Azria's shoes were architectural with a thick heel and dainty buckles. The shoes came in white and black, which was a theme among many designers. 
Richard Chai proposes an open toe and open heel lace up wedge. 
Straps, straps and more straps! Rebecca Minkoff's strappy leather stacked heel is fabulous. 
Another hot pick from Rag and Bone. The multi strapped shoe is perfectly complimented by the candy red and pink color way. 
Yigal Azrouel featured shoes with strappy elegance. 
Suno brings the orange appeal to this stacked heel. 
Creatures of the Wind spiced up the classic mary jane with decorative black detailing. The shoes were also featured in yellow/black and pink/green combinations. 
We loved the monochrome look of the shoes at Helmut Lang. Again the white and black combo was a huge trend for Spring/Summer 2013. 
Peter Som double ankle strap and pointed toe shoes radiate a flirty sex appeal. They are perfectly topped off with a golden capped toe. 
Jason Wu had a parade of see through, mesh like material juxtaposed with solid black. 
At Katie Gallagher ankles were wrapped in leather shoes and topped off with a pointed toe. 
Jen Kao's models teetered on wooden wedge structures at her Spring/Summer 2013 collection. We are really digging this architectural trend! 
Nicole Miller raises the bar on the strappy element with this bone colored heel. 
Thin lines and strap details adorned the shoes at Cushnie et Ochs. 
Another pair of strappy decadence featured at Helmut Lang. 

Alexander Wang's shoes at his Spring/Summer 2013 show made a huge statement with their knee-high leather, cut out details.

An interesting combination of a leather boot with an open toe and open heel hits the runway at Altuzarra.  

 

Band of Outsiders showcased lace up gladiator sandals in an ever so popular white at their Spring/Summer 2013 show. 

 

Edun had shoes with multiple thin straps in a moss colored snake print. 

 

Alexandre Herchcovitch had bright orange booties with a layered heel. 

 

Snakeskin shoes with ultra skinny heels and leather panels paraded around at the Herve Leger show. 

 

The slip on geometric sandals at Lacoste were preppy with an edge. 

 

Monique Lhuillier's shoes had black lace and a stiletto heel. 

 

Prabal Gurung went the futuristic route with silver straps, a transparent pointed toe, and an angled wedge. 

 

Charlotte Ronson's models wore black striped, wooden wedges.

 

Rebecca Taylor had studded, gladiator-esque sandals in a deep blue. 

 

Three as Four hammered some serious metal for their structured footwear. 

 

For VPL's Spring/Summer 2013 collection, they featured an ankle clad banded sandal. 

 
A Detacher showed a buckled sandal with an anklet fishnet stocking underneath.  
Derek Lam featured an open heeled, pointed toe bootie in a fabulous olive snakeskin.  
DKNY gave us a mix of sporty and space with these metallic heels at their Spring/Summer 2013 show.  
White shoes have been popping up all over the runways this fashion week, and these lace up pumps by Tommy Hilfiger are right on trend.  
Chado Ralph Rucci added an interesting touch of transparency to these pink stilettos.  
At the Jonathan Simkhai show adorable white, leather mary jane-esque sandals hit the runway.  
Ankle clad shoes are also persisting to be a trend for next spring. These leather, lace up sandals were shown in a mid calf height and at an ankle height at the Victoria Beckham show.  
Timo Weiland showcased a futuristic, metallic heel at his Spring/Summer 2013 show.  
Y3 also displays a sportier look in a structured wedge with cut outs.

One of our favorite parts about Fashion Week isn’t related to the clothes on the runways — it’s the accessories. We’re certified shoe junkies, and we usually have to pick our jaws up off the ground on numerous occasions during the week as tempting footwear parades up and down the catwalk.

From architectural and chunky wedges to delicate stilettos, the spring season is shaping up to be a season of extremes. Another trend that’s commanding recognition: the spat-inspired stiletto. With harnesses seen on the body, it appears that our feet should be receiving similar treatment!

We figured it was only fair that we shared our obsession with you, dear readers. Here, we present a (constantly updating!) guide to the best shoes on the spring runways.

    Bandaid on ankle = painful These heels are so popular aaa NO! So bad for feet and ankles. Too expensive and do the fashion trend really get that NOT all women world over do not wear these things. ONLY the very few the very rich and very weird!.
