Throughout New York Fashion Week, we were floored at the sheer number of designers who topped off their looks with hats, which means that—yes, folks—hats are going to be more prevalent than ever come fall (if that’s even possible.)
What’s interesting is that all types of toppers were showcased throughout the week, from printed baseball caps at J.Crew and Herve Leger, to super-bright, playful beanies with pom poms at Karen Walker and Tracey Reese. Naturally, there were also plenty of creative-but-wearable versions, such as the cap-turban hybrid at Band of Outsiders, and the knitted hooded styles at Alexander Wang.
