This season, we can’t seem to get enough of the red-orange hybrid we’ve been spotting everywhere. When predictable red gets boring, and bright orange gets obnoxious, this refreshingly vibrant hue serves as our favorite in-betweener—and as the next installment in our ROYGBIV Report series (named after the handy acronym for the sequence of hues in a rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet) in which we highlight fabulous finds in one chic shade. Blood orange—also called poppy—looks fabulous when mixed with other loud colors, or worn as a chic punctuation to an all-black or all-white look.

From Proenza Schouler‘s dramatic capes to Carolina Herrera‘s chiffon dresses, blood orange made a big appearance on spring 2013 runways. And with the upcoming season on our minds, it’s time for the color to make an appearance into our wardrobes!

Here, we’ve compiled 10 blood orange pieces to suit every taste and price point, so browse through the gallery and shop away!
