Whether or not you’re a captain of industry, few pleasures in life are as uncomplicated as clicking through impossibly luxe (and ridiculously expensive) real estate listings.
This week, we are wishing that we were sitting poolside at the midcentury Beverly Hills home that the $800 haircut built—the home of celebrity hair stylist Sally Hershberger.
We are also lusting after the historic home of inventor Alfred Carlton Gilbert, located in New Haven Connecticut, which is chock full of historic details.
Which new listings have you drooling this week? Tell us in the comments below!

BARCELONA, SPAIN: When we envision our dream home, we have to admit, it looks something like this. This home was built in 1906, and is comprised of 7,535-square-feet, five-bedroom, a sunlit lounge, and a wood paneled library. Just look at the photos though, the architectural details can't be beat. Price upon request at Sotheby's International Realty.

BEL AIR, CALIFORNIA: The former home of now bankrupt CNET founder Halsey Minor is up for sale, and at $5 million less than Minor paid for it back in 2006. Minor spent a fortune restoring the house to look like Versailles, so now is your chance to get a really good deal in a swanky area of Beverly Hills. $14,950,000 at Redfin

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Celebrity hairdresser Sally Hershberger is famous for charging $800 per haircut, but she also deservers some props for this seriously gorgeous midcentury home in Beverly Hills. Hershberger purchased the property in 2004 for $2.4 million, and then set about restoring the 1961 classic with the help of Swift Lee Office Architects and interior designer Carole Katleman. The 3,600-square-foot house includes three-bedroom that open to a swimming pool and dazzling views. $6,900,000 at The Agency.

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: So you've dined at Nobu Matsuhisa's restaurants around the world, but now is your chance to actually live in his house. Matsuhisa is putting up his house in the swanky Franklin Canyons area for sale. It includes four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and and a backyard that boasts a pizza oven. We are wondering if Matsuhisa will throw in a free meal with purchase? $3,599,00 at Hilton & Hyland

NEW YORK, NEW YORK: Now this is Manhattan living as it was intended. This three bedroom, three bathroom condo in the very exclusive Park Laurel building also boasts Central Park views. Naturally, the apartment also boasts specially designed picture windows, so you can actually feel like you are in the park at all moments of the day. $9,500,000 at The Corcoran Group.

BRENTWOOD, CALIFORNIA: South Park's Trey Parker has shelled out big for this over 10,00,000 square foot, 7 bedroom, and who can blame him? The Spanish Colonial includes a poolside guesthouse, a double height foyer, and a master suite with a separate sitting area. Bought for $13,288,255.

ASPEN, COLORADO: There are ski shacks and then there are ski mansions. This house falls into the latter category. The home combines an English and Asian aesthetic, and boasts vaulted ceilings and a spiral staircase. Of course, what you are paying for is proximity to the mountains and this home includes big views of Pyramid and Aspen Highlands. $21,000,000 at Sotheby's Realty

NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT: Yale grade Alfred Carlton Gilbert won the Olympics in 1908, and then invented the Erector Set, a construction toy modeled after the steel girders used in railroad construction. Needles to say he made a bundle and then built Maraldene, this English-style country estate near New Haven. The house boasts six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a swimming pool, a tennis court, and plenty of other amenities. Lucky for you history buffs it is now up for sale. $1,995,000 at William Pitt
