The Princes Play Polo

As we continue to follow the Bridgehampton Polo matches, taking place every Saturday now through August 22nd in Bridgehampton, N.Y., we can’t help but take a break to watch a more royal match take place in the U.K.

Yesterday, Prince William and Prince Harry played at the Beaufort Charity Polo Match, against the Stobart team. The Chakravarty Cup match, which raises funds annually for charities sponsored by the Royal family, took place in Gloucestershire, England. The royal brothers were looking handsome and polished, even over layers of sweat, sporting their matching white pants and polo shirts, Beaufort sachés attached.

Handsome and philanthropic, a dynamic combination, if we may say so ourselves. Kate Middleton is one lucky lady. She watched her longtime loverboy’s match from a distance with Prince Charles. (Soon to be father-in-law, anyone?)

Even through the undying support from father and girlfriend, the very close game, which ended at a score of six and a half goals to seven, went to Stobart.

Regardless of the score, it was for a good cause, so we say: everyone’s a winner. The only question we have left is: Princes, will you be joining us at a U.S.-based match anytime soon? And if so, Harry, you’re still single, right?
