I’m sure everyone remembers what an unexpected hit Victoria Beckham’s first-time-ever line of dresses was during New York fashion week just a couple of months ago. Well, well, it seems that Poshy’s line was an even bigger runaway success in the UK yesterday, where her collection was unveiled for purchase at Selfridges and had sold ALL but three lonely little dresses by 3 pm. The pieces are body-conscious, with some being more than a tad reminiscent of Roland Mouret’s shapes, of which Beckham is a confirmed fan.
It seems more and more that the power of celebrity is all-powerful, but in this case, I did find myself pondering when I would be able to purchase one of these numbers myself. What do you think of the dress in the picture above? Worthy of purchase? Or just another celebrity line?
