Doesn't this remind you of the second look from our shirt dressing story?

For myself and so many fashion industry professionals, Paris Fashion Week is about inspiration as much as setting trends, amazing street style and great clothes. It’s the last leg of fashion month, and all of fashion’s best and brightest gather in the City of Light to see everyone from Stella McCartney to Yohji Yamamoto present their Spring collections. Heck, even Kayne West shows in Paris!

For many of these designers, it’s not so much about what we would want to wear to work, but the looks that we could imagine our best, most creative selves wearing. The looks that might seem slightly odd right now in their shapes and proportions, but that will seem perfectly natural in a few months once our eyes adjust to their boundary-adjusting influences.

Click through to see my top picks from the first half of the Paris Shows (the week ends on Wednesday when Miu Miu and Louis Vuitton present). Let me know what your favorites are in the comments below.
