Swimming begins tomorrow, July 28, and the most anticipated event is certainly Michael Phelps versus Ryan Lochte. The swimming greats will face off tomorrow at 8 PM on NBC.

Watch superstar track sensation Allyson Felix in the semifinals on August 4 2:35 PM and the finals at 4:55 PM.

Who doesn't love gymnastics? The U.S. will compete against China in the finals on Tuesday, July 31, at 8 PM.

The closing ceremony airs on Sunday, August 12 at 7 PM on NBC, and we couldn't be more excited. But of course, it's a tad bittersweet since we won't have a summer Olympics for another four years.

Oh, and how could we forget? The Spice Girls are reuniting on the Olympic stage at the closing ceremony on Sunday, August 12.

The Olympics are finally here! It’s been four long years since the last summer Olympics took over Beijing, and four long years since we’ve gotten to revel in (and be totally jealous of) the insanely disciplined athletes who compete at the most prestigious sporting events in the world.

Considering there’s a plethora of events at any time of day, it’s important to weed through and know what’s really essential to watch. (Yes, many of us will be glued to our couches for the next three weeks watching everything, but there are some that need to venture out every once in awhile.) Luckily, we’ve done all that hard work for you!
