At around 1:51 p.m. today, a magnitude 5.9 earthquake struck about 41 miles northwest of Richmond, Virginia with an impact spanning from Raleigh to New York City. This was the largest quake in history to hit the D.C. area, and caused the evacuation of several government buildings including the Pentagon and Manhattan’s City Hall.
We were fortunate enough to not feel the rumbles here at the StyleCaster offices, but according to Twitter, plenty of our fashion friends felt the Earth shake for a few moments. Although natural disasters are no laughing matter, the emergency tweeting that went on during evacuation was pretty hilarious.
