In a serious case of what-will-they-think-of-next, one salon owner just dyed a woman’s hair with … Nutella and condensed milk. Set to the sound of overly exuberant music, a video sweeping the internet features hair stylist Abed Allahitani getting to work on Dubai-based beauty blogger Huda Kattan‘s long blonde hair. A few swipes of Nutella and milk later, she’s transformed to a light brunette.
“😱😱😱😱😱😱 I can’t believe this!!” Kattan wrote on Instagram. “Hair coloring using Nutella by @abedallahitani Nice results, who would try this?”
Though people are enthusiastic in the comments—”This guy is a magician!!” one wrote—we’re skeptical. Even something like Kool-Aid only dyes your hair temporarily, and the number of chemicals and artificial colors in that stuff is high. We’d wager that Ms. Kattan’s hair will go back to its blonde roots before no time—but in the interim, her hair color does look salon-grade.
Turns out this isn’t Allahitani’s first rodeo, by the way: He shared a similar video six days ago. Not sure if we’d want to waltz out of a hair appointment smelling like a crêpe, but—to each her own.
