Geek Chic: 10 Most Stylish Social Media Gurus

In a world where even some of our grandparents can be found cruising Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter, it seems like everyone can have a piece of the social media pie these days. However, there are only a select few experts that have mastered this relatively new territory and made a full-time career out of it — not to mention managed to look damn good while doing so.

The Geek Chic movement continues to thrive, especially in New York, where being a “techie” is more likely to be associated with Proenza Schouler than a pocket protector. We hand-picked ten social media gurus from some of the most successful and visible companies, whose personal style (and Twitter followers) we can’t help but envy. These new media mavens were willing to put down their iPhones to strike a pose at the Library Bar at Thompson Gild Hall, where we witnessed a true fusion of old-fashioned glamour and modern technology.

    Raman had the most poignant comment and I think a lot of the fashion world lacks a good understanding of digital marketing with a strategy. Sure some of these people tweet and have a lot of twitter followers, but there’s a lack of quality content that’s engages fans. Look at the brand page numbers. Look at the talking about numbers.
