The First Lady remained true to her American designers as she boarded Air Force One this morning, embarking on an international trip to the G-20 summit in London. Wearing a gorgeous white Thakoon coat trimmed in black, and a simple black wool Michael Kors sheath, she looked the picture of classic American elegance. According to style.com, while the coat “looks like tweed, it’s actually a sik tulle that’s been flocked to resemble the classic fabric, following in the designer’s penchant for witty, trompe l’oeil materials.”
UPDATE!! The stylish First Lady apparently changed on the plane and disembarked in a bright chartreuse yellow Jason Wu frock. And to that, we say: Well played. Photo below.
