Longer lengths have been on the rise for several seasons now, and have reached a fever pitch for summer. The look is both glamorous and effortless — a perfect combination for a season filled with hot evenings and the occasional rain shower.

Here, some of our favorite style bloggers offer up their take on how to style the trend: Whether it’s balancing an upscale, colorful skirt with a denim jacket or pairing a feminine, floral dress with some tough boots, these ladies are proof positive that there’s a maxi look for everyone.  Our best tip: Add a solid belt to a patterned dress to give it the perfect balance, not to mention a more flattering silhouette.

  2. Jen O'Neill says:

Gorgeous!! What is your advice for short/petite girls who want to rock a maxi dress? (It’s so tough!)

  3. Sara Ventimiglia says:

Go with a high-low dress because then you can still show some leg in the front and make the appearance that they’re long! Also wear simple maxi’s, not busier ones with excess fabric. Hope that helps, Jen!
