When we heard about Kristen Stewart’s Joan Jett makeover for her role in The Runaways, we were psyched. Joan Jett is awesome, obviously, and we love edgy looks that stray from what’s easy–the perfect highlights and long, flowing layers that seem to be Hollywood’s de rigeur.
Well. We’ve seen the pictures, and we’re not sure the transformation is entirely successful. Sure, Joan had what could be considered a rock mullet back in the day, but it was more feathery-fringey, not piecey and… is there a faux-hawk in there somewhere? Then again, Kristen was just heading to the studio in these photos, so we can’t hold her to a fully-styled standard. What do you think? Does Joan’s ‘80s glamlet work on Kristen?
