Keira Knightley, an actress known for her predilection for Chanel bags and period film roles, has been seen around (New York City) town carrying not an Anya Hindmarch bag, but an Anya Hindmarch duster bag. The blue and white striped cotton totes that all the chic, luxe Anya Hindmarch bags come encased in are an, um, interesting choice, but one that somehow seems to fit better in these dubious economic times than, say, a gargantuan quilted Chanel number might. (I spotted a lady shopping in SoHo yesterday with a white fur Chanel bag clutched in her well-manicured hand and it just seemed…wrong.)
So, while I might not endorse this choice completely, it does say something about Knightley’s resourcefulness, doesn’t it? And if you want to imitate the actress, go on into your local Anya Hindmarch boutique and make a purchase–you’ll be getting two for the price of one, and there’s nothing more economical than that.
