The official portraits of Prince WilliamKate Middleton and the little prince were released in August and were totally charming. Instead of being a stuffy, staged affair, they were taken by Kate’s father Michael at the Middleton home in Bucklebury. The couple appeare laid back and, well, normal in the photo, and it didn't hurt the relatabilty factor that Lupo, the couple’s black cocker spaniel, makes an appearance in one shot, as does Tilly, the Middleton’s  retriever.

And, naturally, Middleton chose a wallet-friendly $79 purple-ish knot-front dress from maternity brand, Seraphine.

Kate Middleton, aka Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, turns 32 today—and my, what a year she’s had! Perhaps the biggest moment so far came after months (let’s be honest, years) of worldwide speculation, Kate and her husband Prince William welcomed a son, baby George Alexander Louis.

In order to properly celebrate the birthday of Middleton—who many believe to be highly similar to William’s beloved mother Princess Diana—we felt it was only appropriate to chart out her absolute defining moments—be it fashion, charity endeavors, or simply bonding with her family (royal and otherwise).
