Uncle Karl (a.k.a. the man, the myth and the designer otherwise knows as Karl Lagerfeld) has bestowed upon himself yet another job to take on — you know, besides designing for Chanel, his own namesake line and most recently his lower priced line Karl. On February 7th, the creative genius himself will be taking over as Editor-In-Chief of Metro International newspapers worldwide.
Lagerfeld will guest edit all Metro editions globally. He will also create a collection of sketches and illustrations for the paper. (You just KNOW we can expect his notoriously snarky comments on the world news.) Let’s not forget that Lagerfeld will most likely also be including his close group of friends (i.e. The Mean Girls) which represents his very small, very exclusively thin inner circle.
My question is — what won’t Karl collaborate on? We know his name, and even people who aren’t in fashion know his name. I mean, come on — how much thinner can you spread yourself before those famous black suits have to be altered down to a size 0?
