Everyone’s favorite Instagram-obsessed model and her musician husband are about to be the inspiration for a new sitcom.
Buzzfeed reports that the creator of “Black-ish” Kenya Barris signed a three-year deal with ABC Studios that will include a show based on Chrissy Teigen and John Legend‘s marriage. The show is tentatively being called “Ordinary People”—a name inspired by Legend’s Grammy-winning 2004 ballad.
Expect plenty of Teigen’s distinctive brand of humor and realness in this show (and perhaps some stretch mark selfies), because both the Sports Illustrated model and Grammy-winning musician will both work as producing partners on the project.
“It’s inspired by them—they’re both super creative and super effusive and I’m just fans of them and everything they stand for,” Barris told Buzzfeed. “I’m really excited about it.”
Barris also revealed that if it gets the green light, the series “will be about an interracial couple. We don’t know what’s going to be what. But it will be a part of the show in terms of showing those two world’s colliding and coming together—their issues and their obstacles that [happen inside] their personal relationship.”
There’s no air date yet, but if the project’s a go, filming will start next year.
