Jeremy Scott for Adidas

As I’ve stated before here on this very blog, I’m usually pretty violently opposed to sneakers being worn in any context but the gym. Flat shoes in general have to be per-retty special to get me out of my typical shoe-uniform of 4-inches-or-bust. But these! These Jeremy Scott designed shoes for Adidas are beyond cool. In fact, they’re so cool, I can’t tell whether or not they’re actually ugly. All I know is that, at the very least, these belong out of the gym and on the street. On a Brooklyn street, most likely. But even I, in all my frilly-dress-wearing, Chelsea-living, decidedly-non-hipster-being glory, would actually be psyched to try wearing these gold winged shoes. Perhaps I’d pair them with a skintight, black Herve Leger dress instead of, say, ripped denim. But I’d wear them, nonetheless.

They’ll be available in March of 2009.

What do you think? Love or hate? xo
