I jumped into a cab with my buddies from NYLON and rushed to see Jeremy Laing in a tiny and stark loft on 24th Street. It was the perfect aesthetic to show the collection and I was glad I actually made it (I stopped by Unconditional to catch the last few minutes after fighting for a taxi when leaving DKNY – this is life without car service!).

The opening dresses were structured out of neoprene and leather and the fringes hanging from several pieces looked suspiciously like leather but I’m not 100% convinced. Could these be tiny strips of rubber? I won’t know until I make it up to the showroom to re-see the entire collection. Either way, there was an abundance of interesting uses of material including the netting detail over the oversized coat pictured above. There were also several printed dresses that looked like celestial collisions but I was much more drawn to this cool-blue silk number below. These were a few of my favs:
