Jay-Z Will No Longer Use The Word ‘B*tch’ Thanks To Blue Ivy

Derogatory terms for women are a quintessential part of rap music. The use of words like “b*tch” and “ho” have caused quite a stir over the years, but many hip hop stars defend their usage, stating that they are merely necessary for artistic purposes.

However, one of the most influential rappers in the game (and proud papa of a beautiful little baby girl with the woman he once deemed “hottest chick in the game,” Miss Beyonc Knowles) will no longer use the word “b*tch” out of respect for his newborn daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.

According to Britain’s NME, who got their hands on one of Jay’s new poems, the B-word is going bye-bye.”Before I got in the game, made a change, and got rich/I didn’t think hard about using the word bitch/I rapped, I flipped it, I sold it, I lived it/Now with my daughter in this world I curse those that give it,” a stanza reads.

Well, I guess being a parent really does change your ways, because Jay has long possessed one of the foulest, filthiest mouths in music. Personally, I’ve never had an issue with it because it’s all about the wordplay, but I’m happy to hear that he’s turning over a new leaf.

Are you happy to hear this news, or is Jay 42 years too late?
