You probably remember Dakota Johnson as the girl who told Justin Timberlake's character about Facebook in "The Social Network" or from her other small roles in "21 Jump Street" and "The Five-Year Engagement." But this starlet is stepping up her game and is set to rule the small screen this fall as Kate Fox in "Ben and Kate." With her good looks, Hollywood Pedigree and true talent, Johnson has all the ingredients necessary to become the next big small screen star.

Andrew Rannells, "The New Normal," on NBC starting September 11, 9:30 PM

After dominating the stage with leading roles in Broadway productions such as "Jersey Boys" and "The Book of Mormon," Andrew Rannells decided to conquer the small screen as well, and we're so glad he did. We fell in love with this Tony Award nominee on HBO's "Girls" and are expecting big things from him in the heartwarming comedy "The New Normal" as he portrays a man who hires a surrogate to have a child for him and his life partner.

Rachael Taylor, "666 Park Avenue," on ABC starting September 30, 10:00 PM

It’s about time Rachael Taylor got her big break. With roles in well-known productions such as "Grey’s Anatomy" and "Transformers," Taylor has begun to make her mark as an actress. In the upcoming drama "666 Park Avenue," Taylor acts as one of the main characters, Jane Van Veen, a small-town girl who’s an aspiring architect, and we think this role could be just what she needs to truly hit her stride.

As she struggles to fit in at her new job in her upcoming role as a surgical intern in "Emily Owens, M.D.," Gummer will be given the chance to show off her acting skills in this drama and live up to the name her legendary mother created.

Ed Weeks, "The Mindy Project," on Fox starting September 25, 9:30 PM

Although you might not be familiar with the name Ed Weeks now, it’s one we’re sure you won’t be able to get out of your head after seeing this handsome up-and-coming actor in "The Mindy Project" opposite the show's star Mindy Kaling. Weeks hasn’t really had any notable acting jobs just yet, but we think his contribution to"The Mindy Project" as the charming and slightly arrogant Dr. Jeremy Reed, who shares a medical practice - and sometimes a bed - with the show’s main character, will put him on the map.

Janet Montgomery, "Made in Jersey," on CBS starting September 28, 9:00 PM

Janet Montgomery, "Made in Jersey," on CBS starting September 28, 9:00 PM

With a smaller role on the hit show "Entourage" and a supporting role in the Academy Award-winning film "The Black Swan," Janet Montgomery has had her fair share of noteable performances. But with her leading role as a hard-working New Jersey-born lawyer in the upcoming drama "Made in Jersey," this star is sure to shine and leave a lasting impression on her viewers.

Amanda Setton, "The Mindy Project," on Fox starting September 25, 9:30 PM

Amanda Setton is best known for playing mean girl Penelope Shafai on "Gossip Girl." In her latest portrayal in "The Mindy Project," Setton takes on a slightly different role as a tenacious office manager. Portraying a more grown-up character, this could be Setton’s chance to prove she’s more than just another one of Blair Waldorf’s many minions.

Michael Urie, "Partners," on CBS starting September 24, 8:30 PM

After making a name for himself as the flamboyant and witty character Marc St. James on "Ugly Betty," Michael Urie seemed to have taken a break from TV - until now. This fall, Urie is at it again with a role in the upcoming comedy "Partners" as a gay man who unintentionally stirs up trouble between his straight best friend and his future wife. We think Urie is a great fit for this loveable and over-the-top character.

Taking a break from the typical crime drama shows he is known for acting in ("NCIS", anyone?!), Peter Cambor is set to co-star in a new comedy this fall, "Wedding Band." Cambor plays a married father of two who spends his spare time playing in a wedding band with three of his best friends while enjoying the wild and crazy environment that wedding's provide. As one of the show's main characters, Cambor will have a chance to truly shine and show off his acting abilities. Oh, and did we mention our favorite 90210 alum Brian Austin Green is on the show too?

It’s always a shame to leave summer behind, but there are some things we always get excited about. For example, sweater weather is a welcome addition to our wardrobe, Pumpkin Spice Latte season at Starbucks is much anticipated, and fall programming on TV is always great.

While we’re not opposed to watching a lot of television during the summer (believe us!), the networks clearly save their best for the fall season. Some of these productions see great success and continue on for numerous seasons, while others never make it past the first few episodes. Regardless, we look forward to the release of these shows beginning every September, and this year, things are no different.

Rather than share with you a list of this season’s upcoming productions and which ones we think will be worth watching, we decided to feature a group of hot, rising stars who we’re confident will leave their mark on the small screen.

Click through the gallery above to see which actors and actresses we predict will be big hits this season!
