There seems to be some sort of ticking clock for celebrities after they give birth, a semi-unspoken race to see who can attain their pre-baby shape fastest. And leading that pack is Hilaria Baldwin, who barely has a trace of her pregnancy belly just nine days after giving birth to Leonardo Ángel Charles Baldwin, her youngest child with Alec Baldwin.
“It might seem strange to you that I wrote about how tired I am and now I’m posting a pic after my first run back post baby…but actually getting up and staying active gives you a lot of energy,” she wrote this afternoon alongside her workout pic. “I gave myself the goal of 5-10 min to jog. I surprised myself and did 23 minutes. I feel great and refreshed.”
A day after baby Leo was born, she posted a bathroom selfie, noting that “in the age of such strong body shaming, I want to do all that I can to normalize a real body and promote healthy self esteem.” Vowing to promote a healthy body image, she added that she’s all about showing the process real women go through after having a baby, though she may be a bit quicker at the bounce-back than the average new mom. “Many of you know that I love to show the process of life’s experiences on the body and I am a firm believer in how a good diet and the right balance of exercise make us happy, healthy, and strong,” she wrote.
A little less than two weeks before giving birth, Hilaria posted yet another underwear selfie, this time documenting her growing belly.
We’d like to take this opportunity to point out that pregnancy looks different on everyone, and while Hilaria’s pics might be inspirational to some, they are definitely just one woman’s personal experience. But props to Hilaria for exercising and taking care of herself so soon after going through childbirth. And congratulations to the happy, healthy family!
