The 1980's brought about the wave of the supermodel, starting with Iman. This vintage ad was one of her first pieces of work.

Christy Turlington turned heads in 1988 with this Rive Gauche campaign, bringing about the rise of the hat and power suit for women everywhere.

Da Vinci's Mona Lisa was the inspiration for this 1999 Spring ad campaign starring Kate Moss and Noot Seear.

Mod! 1993 gave YSL makeup a bright pop of color.

Christy Turlington strikes again! Everyone can recall this 2009 campaign where the model was literally stepping out of the frame in all black everything.

Emily Blunt turned up the sex symbol factor with YSL's most iconic perfume, Opium in 2011.

Jourdan Dunn became the face of Yves Saint Laurent's most famous beauty product, Touche Eclat in 2011. With the dimmed background and a lit-up face, the famous highlighting pen got it's justice.

This YSL ad from the '60s emphasizes the power of love with the bright disco colors, yet keeps it cool with round shades and a thick fur coat.

In 1992, Nastasia Urbano gave Opium the perfect face for what the perfume stands for: elegance, class, and the epitome of a lady.

This Rive Gauche ad from the '80s describes the generation perfectly: short hair, working girl ensembles, and a non-cordless telephone.

This current ad campaign for YSL beauty, shot by Terry Richardson, uses the effect of a mirror to showcase Arizona Muse's classic beauty.
