Olympic uniforms have massive amounts of functionality and technology infused into them to make sure they're as durable and comfortable as possible. That said, the '90s seems to be in full force with these uniforms .... and we kind of love it. Here, we love the track suit worn by the USA's own gymnasts.

Who doesn't love a visor? Secretly we still think of Seth Green in Can't Hardly Wait as our favorite half-hat wearer, but tennis player Maria Kirilenko is a close second.

Russia's gymnasts Aliya Mustafina, Anastasia Grishina and Kseniia Afanaseva sport one of our favorite 90's items, the scrunchie.

White on white, full-on track suit. Gold medalist Lucie Decosse unintentionally plays homage to some of the '90s coolest rappers.

A floppy hat? Absolutely. Reminiscent of '90s heartthrob Joshua Jackson in Dawson's Creek, we love seeing it reappear in the archery competition.

Typically, we cringe at the sight of a Speedo, but here we don't mind seeing double with Evgeny Kuznetsov and Ilya Zakharov from Russia duke it out for synchronized diving.

Hello wrist bands. Petra Kvitova of Czech Republic shakes hands with Flavia Pennetta of Italy, showing off this '90s staple.

Personally, we really can't stand high athletic socks -- they bring us back to days of un-ironic leggings. Nevertheless, they're hitting the turf hard this Olympics.

Before we felt comfortable wearing tank tops sans layers, we used to (awkwardly) wear them over a t-shirt. At that time, we were about 11. While these Olympic rowers are full-grown, they're kind of [...]

Spandex shorts. We think that pretty much sums it up.

There’s been a lot of talk about the Olympic uniforms this go-around, but we can’t help feeling that no one has noticed the huge presence of some of our favorite sporty trends from the ’90s among the contemporary looks.

That’s right, the ’90s — the decade of scrunchies, floppy hats and awkward goggles. Though, in the case of the Olympics, these looks may be providing a more functional benefit to the world’s top athletes, we can’t help but chuckle seeing all the visors, body glitter, and of course, biker shorts.
