The Gossip Girl Spinoff is Rapidly Approaching

In just a few weeks, the CW plans to grace “Gossip Girl” fans with another hour about our favorite mother-that-has-slept-with-so-many-men that-her-list-takes-up-two-pieces-of-paper. Starring “John Tucker Must Die” actress Brittany Snow as the young Lily Rhodes (Ms. Van der Woodsen’s maiden name before she got married a bazillion times), “Valley Girls” premieres on May 11 at 8 p.m. I am sure that there will be tons of excessive 80′s fashions, which if you think about it, isn’t that much different than what everyone is wearing now (with the resurgence of the whole dramatic shoulders and acid washed jeans thing) . I’m really unsure about how I feel about this, being that spinoffs almost never work (remember “Joey”?), but I am clearly going to tune in to the first episode. What do you think?
