Giambattista Valli went sophisticated for Resort 2010. As Valli told WWD, “I liked the idea of draped jersey with a sportswear feel used for light pieces with a couture allure.” The result was a collection, mostly of dresses, with a slightly vintage take on sculptured shoulders and peplum waists (there’s the couture inspiration).
