I am totally obsessed with these videos! this whole series has been really informative and i love the fact that they use people with two totally different skin types. It would be great to see these more often – simple ways to look my best.

  2. Theresa says:

I LOVE the Covergirl Smoky Eye Blast. It’s so easy to do!

  3. Nicole says:

Sorry I was not impressed w/ this “tutorial”
    (a) the lighting sucked as far as being able to really see what she was doing
    (b) you can’t see the difference between the two colors she put on
    (c) the after looked like a teenager had done her makeup and not a professional
The girl didn’t look ‘bad’ but she didn’t look like a pro just finished her face…

  4. Tish says:

if you go over the lighter color with the darker color … what’s the point of the lighter color???

  5. Tanya M. says:

Hi Everyone, Sorry it took so long to respond I have been traveling. But I am back and would love to answer any and all questions you have!

Terry: This look is wonderful for blondes with light skin, to tweak it for your age and skin color you might want to go a little lighter in the application. Also try using the brown eyeliner instead of the black. I truly believe less is more!
Tish: If you notices the cream eye shadows have a bit of sparkle to them. When I use the lighter color all over the lid first it adds some depth to the outcome of the look. The lighter shade pokes through the darker one and peeks out from the inner and outer corner of the eyes giving the look more than one dimension. Eye makeup also lasts longer when there is more than one layer.

I hope I have answered your questions. You can follow me on twitter @AuraSchwartz for constant beauty thoughts;)

  10. Galangalang says:

The “candid’ feel they are trying for in these videos is a little corny since the makeup artist are models sound so stiff and scripted. Covergirl needs to relax and not sound so much like an infomercial. Aside from that its nice that they have these instructional videos.

  11. ReGiNa says:

I love this tips, but I dont know why, not even having a primer on my eyes, the Smoky Shadow Blast lasts!! When I notice, I have lines on my lids, under the crease.. so I dont know what to do for it to look like when I put it on!! :-(
