Plenty of wealthy stars shell out the big bucks to rent glamorous summer houses in the Hamptons, but there are some who spend enough time in the area that they invest in multimillion dollar properties in some of the most exclusive areas of the elite community. From Jerry Seinfeld’s insane spread which actually features a baseball diamond, to Christie Brinkley’s famed Water Mill home that has a tower (and sits on an astounding 21 acres), celebrities have flocked to the Hamptons for decades—and continue to do so to this day.

Jennifer Lopez, Water Mill: As a New York native, J. Lo knows the Hamptons well—which is probably why she just plunked down $10 million for this stunning 3-acre spread in the swanky Water Mill. Some of the many amenities? 8-bedrooms, 7.5-bathrooms, 8,500 square feet, a sauna, a pool house, a steam room, and of course a massive home theater.
Christie Brinkley, Bridgehampton: Although the property has been on and off the market for years now, Brinkley's main residence in the Hamptons is Tower Hill, a famed property known for its unique tower. The 18th century house is steeped in history, and also sits on 21 acres—incredibly rare for this neighborhood. Obviously, it comes with a price tag—it's been listed for $30 million in the past, though Brinkley seems content there for now.
Tory Burch, Southampton: After selling her nearby Meadow Lane estate, Burch snapped up a massive property built in the 1920s for $16 million back in 2010 and spent two years renovating it. The result? A gorgeous, unique property filled with antiques that even landed its own Vogue spread.
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos: Back in 2004, Ripa and Consuelos purchased a $2.35 million spread in Southampton that has since likely tripled in value. Not only did the couple put a great deal of work into it, it also features a chic pool and hot tub combination that make this is the perfect spot to throw a glamorous shindig. Not surprisingly the pair and their kids like to go to the house even during the off season.

Howard and Beth Stern, Southampton: The filthy rich shock jock and his model wife live the high life year round in a 16,000 square foot oceanfront home on three acres. It has 8-bedrooms, 12-bathrooms, a wine cellar with a tasting room, and a bowling alley. Because doesn't everyone have that?
Sean "Diddy" Combs, East Hampton: As the place where many of Diddy's legendary White Parties have been held, it's only appropriate to mention his chic, modern pad. He snagged it for $2.5 million years ago, and although it's not as grand as some of the other homes here, there have been so much stories about the residence—such as the squatter who broke in and helped himself to Diddy's amenities—that it's truly one of the most talked-about celebrity homes out there.

Martha Stewart, East Hampton: Located on the swanky Lily Pond Lane, Stewart's picture perfect house was built in 1873. These days, her neighbors include Billy Joel, Steven Spielberg, and Calvin Klein, and she has a massive garden (obviously). Due to its location, she has named the house Lily Pond, and it's most distinguishing feature is the seafoam green trim and gates.

Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld, East Hampton: The mega-rich comedian and his wife reside in a storied East Hampton residence that he bought from Mr. Hamptons himself—Billy Joel—for $32 million back in 2000. The 12-acre estate's most unique features? A 22 car garage and a baseball diamond.

Reed Krakoff, East Hampton: The president of Coach, who recently announced he was stepping down, shelled out $24 million for a 6.4 acre estate on Further Lane back in 2007. Besides the 8,500 square foot main house and lavish gardens, the most interesting characteristic is this was the Bouvier summer home back in the early 1900s.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, Amangansett: Considering she grew up in New York City and attended the prestigious Spence School, and also got married to her hubby on Steven Spielberg's East Hampton property, Paltrow is used to the Hamptons for sure. Back in 2007, the couple snagged a 6,800 square foot spread on Old Montauk Highway for $5.4 million and Paltrow regularly writes about her Hamptons exploits on her site, Goop.
