OK, OK, so, that title may be a bit misleading. Kanye West and Florence Welch were not puffing the Bob Marley, but they did torch something else. Welch, the ginger goddess with a golden voice, recently came clean and told a story to Q Magazine about a raucous time she had with Mr. West and Lykke Li in her dressing room at the Bowery Hotel.
Apparently, they all got a little crazy and drank a ton, leading to a ridiculous room service bill and half her hotel room being burnt to a crisp. “I came back to the hotel, passed out in my ripped dress—no phone, chipped tooth—came round and there was black stuff all over the wall, my book had melted on the bedside table and there was a bucket of water on the floor,” Florence said. “Actually the last scene you want to wake up to with a hangover. Half the room was singed.”
Oy! This scene reminds me of a scene in the incredible Sandra Bullock film 28 Days, where she wakes up to find that a fire has burnt a hole in her bra. Anyway, this sounds like quite a party, and I’m jealous I wasn’t there. Oh, and as a slight overshare: I had a similar evening at the Bowery Hotel following the last StyleCaster party. I’d be willing to bet our room service bills were comparable…
