1. Kate will have a natural birth.
Opting out of an elective Caesarian section, Kate—who’s due mid-July—will give birth naturally, according to the Palace.

2. She and Prince William do not yet know the gender of the child.
And they’ve opted not know until they come face to face with the royal baby.

3. William will be by her side the entire time.
Kate will give birth in the private Lindo wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, the same exact spot where William was born.

4. The baby’s arrival will be announced in a ridiculous method befitting one of James Bond’s covert missions.
According to the report, the first notification that Kate has delivered will arrive when an aide leaves the hospital holding a singular piece of paper with details of the baby’s weight, sex, and time of birth. This note will then be handed off to a driver, who will deliver the note to Buckingham Palace. The notice will then be “placed on an easel on the forecourt of the Palace.” Um, what?

5. But don’t worry, the baby’s actual birth will be announced on Twitter.
Soon after the easel announcement, the news will be published on the Palace’s official Twitter feed. The Palace stressed that no electronic communication would be made about the child until “the public has a chance to see the official notice, as it’s important that this is done with a degree of dignity and with half an eye on the historical significance.”

Madonna, 54, attended The Cinema Society world premiere of her Epix documentary “Madonna: The MDNA Tour,” and she hit the red carpet in a black-and-white Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo, complete with top hat and some serious hand hardware.

Cher (at 67 years old, people!) took to the stage for the finale of NBC’s singing competition show “The Voice,” where she debuted her new house-heavy single, “Woman’s World.” For her performance, Cher wore her hair in a fluffy, multi-colored mohawk, donned a fishnet and leather bustier, and rocked Hammer pants.

We can’t get enough of British beauty and It-model Cara Delevingne these days, whether she’s allegedly getting caught with drugs, wearing $68,000 dresses, or being forced to choose between BFFs Rihanna and Rita Ora. Clearly, she can’t enough of herself either, as she’s just adorned a skateboard with her own naked image.

Okay fine, the board is in partnership with W Hotels to raise funds for the youth foundation Stoked, but fashion photags Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott still shot the model completely nude, floating in a pool of water, and looking as brooding as ever. The model then took to the image with red lipstick-inspired font and added a touch of her own graffiti: “Cara Love NYC.” (Grammar, much?)

“I love this shot by Mert & Marcus, and I also love New York,” Cara says in a release. “And when I put the two together I realized it became a play on the classic slogan, ‘I <3 NY.’ Perfect!”

After days of incessant teasing on Twitter and Instagram (the girl could literally teach a class on social media promotion), the video for Miley Cyrus‘ summer anthem “We Can’t Stop” is here. Considering the song is about a raucous, drug-fueled party that doesn’t end until the sun comes up, it’s only appropriate that the video conveys, well, exactly that.

The clip features 20-year-old Cyrus and a gaggle of pals toasting to the good life in an empty mansion. Highlights include a random guy passing out in a pile of Wonder Bread, an absurd pool scene, and of course Cyrus wearing a slew of ridiculous outfits that look like 1980s gym attire. Oh, and she wears gold grillz in her mouth, naturally. The song’s producer, Mike Will (commonly referred to as Mike Will Made It), makes numerous cameos and is even shown asleep in a plush bed after the night’s debauchery.

As you’d expect from Miley, there’s also plenty of “twerking” and intense gyration, proving that if all else fails, Cyrus could definitely earn a solid living at a strip club. Considering the success of the song so far (it was downloaded more than 180,000 times in its first week), we’re sure the video will be well-received by her devoted fans. It’s been quite a week for Cyrus, whose mother Tish Cyrus recently filed for divorce from longtime husband Billy Ray Cyrus. Miley also notably stepped out on a date with on-off fiancé Liam Hemsworth, whom she hadn’t been photographed with in over five months.

Last year, pop star Christina Aguilera was on the receiving end of some pretty negative press surrounding her weight gain—particularly when she stepped out in her trademark form-fitting bandage dresses. In response to the media scrutiny, she was quoted as saying, “I got tired of being a skinny white girl.” Her rep denied that she ever made the comments, but apparently, the cruel headlines got to her—as she clearly looks better than ever.

After appearing onstage looking trim and radiant at the Billboard Awards last month in a sexy Versace top with an Herve Leger skirt, the 32-year-old is out to prove that she’s completely in control of her figure—and she did just that last night. Although she wasn’t a judge on the fourth season of “The Voice” (she returns next season, replacing Shakira), she performed at yesterday’s finale  clad in a high-waisted black skirt, a sheer metallic crop top, and a very visible hot pink bra.

We’ve never been big fans of her outfit choices (there’s a time and place for a hot pink bra—and it’s not national TV), but we do have to praise her toned figure. Aguilera looks happy and healthy, and seems to have officially put the past few turbulent years, which included an arrest for disorderly conduct and reports of alcohol abuse, behind her.

The fun and games of fashion legends Stefano Gabbana, 54, and Domenico Dolce, 50, might hit the brakes for a bit, as the Dolce & Gabbana designers were today found guilty of tax evasion in an Italian court, according to WWD.

The Backstory: In late May, prosecutors Gaetano Ruta and Laura Pedio demanded that the design duo be sentenced to 2.5 years in prison for tax evasion after a six-month trial. The prosecutors alleged that the only reason the designer sold their iconic Milan-based Dolce & Gabbana brands to Luxembourg-based holding company, Gado S.r.l, in 2004 was to avoid paying about $550 million they owed to the Italian government in taxes. Then, on June 12, the designers’ lawyer asked for a full acquittal and to dismiss all charges, claiming there was no case to proceed. Today’s verdict is in response to that June 12 request.

What It Means: Their sentencing today is to 20 months in jail, which the designers are fully expected to appeal. D&G lovers, don’t fret: we highly doubt to see the duo doing any jail time at all, much less a year and a half. They are billionaires, after all.

One thing, though, that’s not quite as readily on our radar is the idea of jewelry and how the summer months might affect our pieces. Namely, how we can protect our beloved rings, jewelry, necklaces, and earrings from the season’s elements, and how we can keep them secure while jetting off somewhere sun-filled.

According to the experts at The International Gemological Institute (IGI)—the world’s largest independent laboratory for testing and evaluating gemstones and fine jewelry—our jewelry can take a serious bruising when exposed to quotidian summer activities such as lounging in the sand, applying suntan lotion, and traveling. Whether your summer plans include a weekend trip or a week abroad, we caught up with Jerry Ehrenwald, president and CEO of IGI, to get 5 easy tips on how to make sure your jewelry is taken care of.

1. Sunbathe sans sparklers.
Sunscreen can coat gemstones, which reduces refractive and reflective light. Essentially, this means your stones won’t be as brilliant or bling-y. To avoid this, leave your fine pieces at home if you’re heading to the beach or the pool for the day, and be sure clean them regularly all summer.

 2. Organization is key when traveling.
When jumbled together, your jewelry doesn’t always get along. For example, a diamond can scratch a pearl, and a bracelet can get caught on a necklace, so always pack pieces in individual soft cloth pouches or lined jewelry boxes to prevent scratching, dulling, and the dreaded tangling of chains.

3. Keep it safe.
When selecting a hotel, be sure that safe deposit boxes are available. Never leave fine jewelry unattended in a hotel room, a rental car, or on a lounge chair—even if you’re just popping over to the bar for a mojito.

4. Shopping for something new? Do your research.
Oftentimes, vacation destinations are also prime shopping destinations, so if you get the urge to commemorate your trip with a new fine jewelry purchase (as opposed to a couple of locally-made friendship bracelets, which are a must!),  make sure you’re buying from a jeweler that’s been in business for several years. When in doubt, check a retailer’s reputation and rating with the Better Business Bureau (www.bbbonline.org) and also learn the store’s return policy. Most reputable jewelers have at least a 30-day money back guarantee wherever you are.

5. Before you go away, be sure your jewelry is adequately insured.
If you decide to bring an especially valuable piece on vacation—perhaps your engagement ring, a pricey watch, or a family heirloom—you might want to consider consulting an insurance agent to obtain an independent appraisal report to ensure a fair replacement if the article is lost, stolen or damaged.

In case there was any doubt, Rihanna made one thing quite clear during a performance last night in Birmingham, England: She is not to be messed with.

While performing her hit track “We Found Love,” RiRi came down off the stage to walk the length of the front row, high-fiving and holding hands with fans along the way. But when one fan held on too long, RiRi struck back, literally: she whacked the fan with her microphone.

Of course, the whole thing was caught on film, which you can watch above. And just to prove just how serious she was, Rihanna tweeted: “Purpose! That b*tch won’t let me go”  when fans asked her on Twitter if she meant to hit the grabby fan on purpose or by accident. (She’s since deleted the Tweet.)

The incident is especially interesting since a similar thing went down between Beyoncé and a fan just a couple weeks ago, though Bey’s response was decidedly less direct. She took to the mic and coyly threatened to throw the person out of the show.

But, really, what are these wildly famous performers supposed to do? They can’t exactly put up bars between their fans and themselves, and they probably want to be gracious to the very people who have made them so successful; but it’s a risky field, because you never know what a crazed fan might do, and even though they might not mean to, they can cause harm.
