In celebration of the 75th Anniversary of iconic movie “The Wizard of Oz,” 20 top fashion designers including Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, and Reem Acra reinterpreted (and scaled down) couture looks for Oz’s leading ladies—Dorothy, Glinda, and the Wicked Witch of the West. Even Kerry Washington got in on the action collaborating on a look with designer Lyn Paolo.
Each design is an entirely custom, handmade outfit featured on a Tonner doll, and every detail was considered, from hair and makeup to accessories.
The full collection is currently on display at The Museum at FIT in New York City until September 10, and then it’ll travel to the Bloomingdale’s flagship store on 59th Street and Lexington Avenue in from September 12 to October 9. Each doll will be auctioned on eBay Giving Works with proceeds going to benefit the “There’s No Place Like Home” campaign for Habitat for Humanity.
