Staying power in the realm of TV programs is nothing short of a modern myth, with noteworthy exceptions (ahem, Gossip Girl and Keeping Up With the Kardashians). One of those exceptions is MTV’s riveting documentary series, “Made,” which follows aspiring youngsters in hot pursuit of a very specific dream. The series is now in its 12th season, and we recently had the opportunity to partner with MTV to help one aspiring teen pursue her desire to become a model.
We lent a helping hand to Megan, a Kentucky native who may have been unfamiliar with some of the biggest faces in fashion’s past and present, but certainly had the drive to succeed. With the help of her Made coach, Whitney Thompson from America’s Next Top Model, she sashayed into our offices like a seasoned catwalk vet for her very first photo shoot.
Tapping the early 1960s as key reference, we focused on simple separates in poppy patterns to ladylike dresses in feminine fabrics to mod shifts in bold colors. Want to see the metamorphosis for yourself? Check out Megan in this full editorial spread!
