Now, I’m from Westchester County in New York, so I grew up on Dave Matthews Band. And if you’re from anywhere on the East Coast, you probably did too. I can barely survive a sweet summer’s day without humming the melodic tune to “Crash” in my head. I’m thrilled to say that the frontman is back and better than ever, and his latest collaboration involves one of my favorite things: wine and more wine.
Matthews himself has teamed up with award-winning Sonoma County winemaker Steve Reeder to produce The Dreaming Tree Wines, a collection of high quality wines developed in partnership with Constellation Wines U.S. If you’re a DMB fan at all, you know that “The Dreaming Tree” is a track from their 1998 album, Before These Crowded Streets.
The line, which is available nationwide, contains a2010 Central Coast Chardonnay, 2009 North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon and 2009 North Coast Crush red blend. As someone who has tried every single type, I must say that I’m impressed, and at a suggested retail price of$14.99, you really can’t complain.
“Dave and I wanted to make wines that are complex yet approachable – fun wines that are food friendly and available for anyone to enjoy,” says Reeder. “With The Dreaming Tree wines, we’ve combined the worlds of wine and music and have created something that we personally enjoy, and enjoy sharing with friends.”
And really, what’s better a better combination than wine and music?
