Designers have been helping the fight against AIDS for years, but now there’s a new addition to the arsenal, and it smells delicious.
Symrise, one of the worlds leading fragrance companies (responsible for sillages smelling of Comme des Garcons Man 2, Emporio Armani Night, Givenchy Amarige D’Amour, Burberry Brit Sheer, and Sonia Rykiel Sonia Rykiel) will release a collection of six perfumes called Six Scents: Series One.
The limited edition fragrances created in collaboration with the Metaproject creative agency and Seven New York will launch worldwide in November. A portion of the proceeds will go toward awareness and funding for the Designers Against AIDS (DAA), International AIDS Awareness Education Center in Antwerp, Belgium scheduled to open in December 2008.
Designers dabbling in fragrance and their respective scents are Gareth Pugh’s ‘Diagonal’, Bernhard Willhelm’s ‘Wicken 3000’, Preen’s ‘Teen Spirit’, Jeremy Scott’s ‘Illicit Sex’, Cosmic Wonder Light Source’s ‘Spirit of Wood’ and Alexandre Herchcovitch’s ‘Urban Tropicalia.’
Symrise’s fragrance architects are some of the best in the world so these scents are sure to get your juices going with ingredients like bergamot, red pepper, magnolia, fig leaves and dill.
