Christian Louboutin’s Marie Antoinette Collection

In a fated move that must’ve been written in the stars of my personal universe, two of my absolute favorite things in the entire world have been brought together: namely Christian Louboutin and Marie Antoinette. I’ve been obsessed with the over-the-top extravagence and richness of Marie Antoinette’s time for as long as I can remember, and we all know that Mr. Louboutin inspires nothing but uncontrollable lust amongst women across the board with red-soled shoes.

Well. Turns out Louboutin has partnered with world-renowned embroiderer Jean-Francois Lesage to create a very limited-edition shoe collection (we’re talking 36 pairs) inspired by Marie Antoinette to be launched on February 23rd at the Christian Louboutin boutique in South Coast Plaza, and then again on February 26th in New York at the Madison Avenue boutique. Each pair is stamped with a limited-edition number, sold in a specially created box, and will retail for $6,295. Sigh. One can dream.
